    At Bufab we are committed to promoting sustainable practices throughout our supply chain based on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.

    Moving forward we believe that a set of requirements can further clarify our needs. As one of our valued suppliers, we believe that your expertise, involvement, and commitment would be invaluable in finding more sustainable solutions.

    Sustainable Supplier Engagement Program (SSEP)

    These steps replicate what Bufab has done internally, and we share it with our suppliers to follow the same. Current focus of SSEP is GHG emissions according to SBTI, GHG Protocol and SDGs. Engagement program will add more elements for learning as needed e.g., supply chain due diligence.

    The aim is to set a baseline (this includes sharing among participants in the program, guidelines, checklist templates, best practices and training).

    Once a baseline is set then targets in place. For GHG to reduce 5,5% CO2eq emissions every year until 2031.

    Scope 1, 2 and 3 targets

    In our effort to address current environmental challenges, in 2021 we committed to the Science-based target initiative (SBTi) to account and reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions.

    Our Scope 1 and 2 targets are to reduce our emissions to 0% by 2030.

    Our Scope 3 target is to reduce our emissions by 55% by 2031.

    The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were established in 2015 by the United Nations.

    These goals represent the global community’s effort to end poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and tackle climate change.
