Challenge
Scanfil relies on a broad range of C-parts across its assembly operations. In the past, keeping track of inventory and ordering the small components manually was time-consuming and less than efficient. This occasionally led to some parts not being available when needed, causing short, unplanned pauses in production.
Approach
Bufab carefully listened to Scanfil’s needs and expectations and designed a solution that fits seamlessly with Scanfil’s existing workflows and company values. The resulting VMI setup combines the EasyScale Mobile system with an EDI integration between Bufab’s and Scanfil’s ERP systems.
Result
The ordering process is fully automated, with smooth integration between Scanfil and Bufab systems. Parts are always available where and when they are needed. No manual input or follow-ups are required, allowing Scanfil to save valuable time and focus on their core priorities.
