About our cooperation
Nicoll first became aware of Bufab through professional network contacts. The initial need was to procure specific fasteners based on drawings, as standard market solutions did not meet the project's technical requirements. Bufab provided technical support in direct collaboration with Nicoll’s R&D Department, enabling the development process to progress efficiently and with the required level of precision.
Challenge
Nicoll needed to identify a fastening solution perfectly suited to the new product's technical constraints. Without a specific custom fastener, Nicoll would not have been able to commercialise the product. The company expected Bufab to provide precise technical guidance to define the appropriate fastening specifications.
Approach
Bufab worked directly with Nicoll's R&D team to design a custom fastener based on drawings. The solution included a specific surface treatment to meet corrosion‑resistance requirements. Throughout the project, we worked together to revise and optimise the fastener's design to ensure full compliance with the product's functional constraints.
Result
The custom fastener developed with Bufab enabled Nicoll’s product to pass certification successfully. This collaboration drove technical innovation and helped finalise and launch the product, most notably the Bâti-supports VIRTUO®.
