History

The Bufab group :

• Founded in 1977 under the name of BUlt Finnveden AB, BUFAB has today 29 subsidiaries all around the world and 650 employees.

Chapellet Bufab  :

• 1925 : The firm was founded by Charles Chapellet as a small family owned business.
•  1956 : Its two sons, Pierre et Maurice expanded business by making the company Ltd.
•  1987 : The management was handed over to Maurice’s two daughters : Christiane Schulz and Martine Chavrier.
•  1990 : The company opens a new branch in Paris : Chapellet Ile-de-France.
•  1993 : The company expands to Normandie (West) by opening : Chapellet-Ouest.
•  1996 : The certification AFAQ is awarded according to the norm ISO 9002.
•  2000 : Chapellet-Est opens to reenforce our presence in the East.
•  2002 : The certification AFAQ is awarded according to the norm ISO 9001.
• 2006 : Chapellet China is launched to facilitate the growing need of Asia.
• December 2006 : Chapellet opens a new warehouse in Corbas.
• November 2007 : Chapellet joins the BUFAB Group and becomes Chapellet Bufab.
• May 2010 : New company name : BUFAB INDUSTRIES
